Mid-July Check-In

Just checkin in with my peeps! As always, I have several things on the burners and unfinished projects from years ago. Old work from my youth that really should be published. Work on old blogs that should be re-published. I once had a YouTube channel but we don’t need to talk about that. Don’t look for it, it’s been deleted, by myself, a long time ago. There is only so much time and as Chris Martenson keeps saying, we have already entered “The Quickening.” Who knows how much longer we will even have the internet as accessible as it is, or in the same form?

Let us pray for the Texas flood victims and for peace in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Peace in the womb. Peace in the Church. For His Holiness Pope Leo XIV!

This past week we celebrated the feast of Saint Kateri on the 14th, who is invoked for the environment and ecology, issues which most concern us in the Catholic preparedness community. Yesterday we honored Our Lady of Mount Carmel, who instituted the habit of the Brown Scapular through Saint Simon Stock. We had a special investiture and high solemn traditional Mass on Long Island last night. Afterwards, the church had a light reception. So, my dinner was mystery hors d'oeuvres, fruit and cake that looked like Boston Cream cake, but with no Boston Cream:( (I do hope the church cooks are not reading this.) I was still hungry and got a Wendy’s large fries on the way home. Lo and behold, my stomach started hurting in the middle of the night and I went rummaging for expired Pepto Bismol tablets. Guess I need more Pepto.

Anyway, it was all more than worth it for a wonderful evening with friends and of course, a beautiful Mass. We have something very special and amazing that has recently been emerging in the traditional Catholic community on Long Island. Various special feast TLM’s are being celebrated at different churches by different priests, often with several priests. We are a nomadic bunch, as we have always been since the 80’s. We are used to it and we have learned adaptability. The group travels around to all these Masses and it is truly joyful! Let me tell you, the turnouts are incredible, with a high percentage of Latinos. I suspect the persecution of the trads in the last several years has only served to pique people’s interest (there’s no such thing as bad publicity, our enemies forgot that). I feel very blessed to be experiencing this time and place in Church history. I know it is special and rare and will not continue forever. Things will change once again, for sure. But this is where we are now, and it is wonderful.

Again, it is the month of the Precious Blood of Jesus. Let us pour ourselves out to Him, Who pours Himself out for us!

Macgregor has recently caught my attention as a sophisticated, objective and experienced voice on geopolitics. He spells out the predicament that currently faces the USA. Will we change course or face the consequences of stubbornness?

The video above is a great introduction to understanding the current state of the financial system of the US…and that we are on an unsustainable path (admitted by Jerome Powell), which is nearing the breaking point. This is well worth the 44 minutes of your time today. For the adults remaining in the room, we have a responsibility to ourselves, our loved ones and to Holy Church, to be awake and respond appropriately to as is said below, “the hand we are dealt.”

“The core insights that define the Peak Prosperity way of seeing the world are set against real-world data in this episode. Energy, debt, wealth, currency, GDP, & the fiscal vandalism of Congress combine to assure that the future will consist of hard choices as we navigate self-inflicted predicaments…Staying on top of and making sense out of the world is a real problem these days.  At times like these, I like to back way up and take a wide-angle, big-picture view of the situation. When I do, things clarify, although I often wish that the picture were more benign or hopeful.  Alas, we play the hand we are dealt. The first paragraph in Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, words of genius, and it sounds a bit familiar:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,

Reading these words is like looking into a prism, a many-faceted crystal, or playing with a Rubik’s Cube. So much is here to meditate upon regarding our own times. Light and Dark are rapidly separating. This could be a Lenten exercise, if paired with self-examination. Where am I in this story?

One Rosary for Each WEF Conference Day!

Yes, it’s here again. January 15-19 in Davos-Klosters, Swizterland. Last year all the presentations were available online, so probably will be again. For those with blogs and other media, please review the presentations and get the info out. They are not hiding anything!

Let us pray one Holy Rosary each day this week as these wicked people meet to plan the enslavement of all humanity and the persecution of the Church!

Do not believe their deceptions.

Think about it. What weaponry do you think these “elites” fear the most? Free speech? Free elections? Scientific data? Guns? Bombs? None of these. It is the Holy Rosary, the cord which binds Satan, they fear more than almost anything. Our Lady was given to us by Our Blessed Lord Himself from the Holy Cross. And she has given us the Rosary, particularly in these days of chastisement, as a weapon against evil, an antidote to our times. Our Lady of Fatima requested it be said daily. Not only because of its spiritual power when it is well-said by one in a State of Grace, but the peace that floods the soul with its recitation. And not only peace, but joy. Upon the recitation of the Holy Rosary our Mediatrix also gives us the graces we so much need to navigate this ever-devolving world, a world already unrecognizable to those who were born only a few decades ago.

In so many Catholic churches throughout the world, every day, there are several elderly women praying the Rosary. Are these humble, easily overlooked ladies the most powerful people in the world? Possibly. It was deeply saddening during the Covid lockdowns, when these unending prayers within the Holy of Holies suddenly ceased. You could almost feel this massive force for good being withdrawn from the earth and evil taking on more power. Are such days coming again? If the WEF has its say, you can bet on it.

The last day of the WEF conference is also the day of the March for Life in Washington DC. So many reasons to pray this great devotion, this meditation upon the Gospels! This Friday, the perpetrators of the shedding of innocent blood will be making their plans, as those defending the innocent will be marching by the tens of thousands. Our Lord and Our Lady look down upon it all. Which side do you wish to be counted among?

+++ Good Friday & A World in Crisis +++

Then the Jews, (because it was the parasceve,) that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath day, (for that was a great sabbath day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. The soldiers therefore came; and they broke the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him. But after they were come to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

John 19:31

The 2 thieves died when their legs were broken because the legs support the body, so when the supports fail, death is hastened. When looking outside our windows, does this look familiar? What are the supports of a functional society? Here are a few, varying in importance, some dependent on others…

For those who do not have their heads in the clouds, it is easy to see how these structural supports have been systematically attacked. Supposedly because of a 99% survival-rate virus, we have seen the erosion of freedom of speech, travel, bodily autonomy (including the very right to breathe, which square foot you are allowed to stand on and hugging a friend in public), worship, business, celebration of life events, parental rights, peaceful protest, financial rights, walking in a park and the list actually goes on. Looking at the above, how many things would you say are left?

The banking crisis the West now faces, is one example of a demolition which is further weakening the complex system we rely on. As Chris Martenson says, economy, energy and environment (“The Three E’s”) are inextricably linked. Throw in geopolitics and a history of making money out of thin air, and you get to where we are now. Martenson also makes the important point that we are seeing the general breakdown of “social contracts.”

Another expert, Robert Kiyosaki, explains the complexity of this situation with his colleague, Andy Schectman, in the video below. They explain the problems of selective bailouts, nations moving away from the dollar and an unprepared population. Pillars that we have long relied upon are now crumbling…

is it over for the us dollar?

The world is breaking the same way the legs of the 2 thieves were broken. When you destroy the foundational supports, the body falls. But there was One also crucified, in their midst. One Who could not be broken. Set apart. Human, yet Divine. The world must remember its Redeemer. We must return to Him and rely on His strength, because He can never fail. Though He was beaten and tortured, His core stood unbreakable. Though Holy Church suffers scandals and great distress, the gates of Hell cannot prevail against her. Her core is unshakable, her teachings immovable.

No matter what the coming days will hold, we must remain true to faith, hope and love. We stand on Christ. We know that our King will triumph, for He has already conquered from the Cross…and Risen! Alleluia!
