Candle-Lighting for Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

(please light a candle next to a picture or statue of Our Lady)

+   Sign of the Cross   +

O Jesus, we thank Thee for this anniversary of the Third Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima to the three holy children in Portugal and all the miracles and wonders which took place there.  We thank Thee for our togetherness today honoring this anniversary, though it is at a difficult time for Thy Holy Church and the whole world.  We light this candle for the intention of reparation to Thy Mother's Immaculate Heart, which so grieves over the sins of the world at this time.  We especially wish to console her for the terrible injustice to unborn children, for she is Mother to all.  May these little lights of ours ascend to her Queenly throne in Heaven and show her that indeed, there is still love for her on earth.  Love for Thy Mother always directs us to Thee, O Jesus, our Savior, Whom she holds up to the world in her loving arms.  Forgive us our sins and let us enter into this Holy Hour in a spirit of contrition and spiritual communion with Thee.  We beg Thee for a return of the normal functioning of the Catholic Church. Forgive us for the disrespect given to the Holy Eucharist for so many years. We offer as well, all the intentions of those participating.  Amen.

Saint Joseph, Pray for Us!

All Ye Holy Angels & Saints, Pray for Us!

Fatima Reading & Prayer

The Third Apparition ~ July 13th, 1917

...the three children assembled at the Cova and again saw the indescribably beautiful Lady over the Holm Oak tree. Lucia asked what she wanted and Mary replied: “I want you to come here on the 13th of next month and to continue to pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war [World War One], because only she can help you.”

Lucia then asked her who she was and for a miracle so everyone would believe: “Continue to come here every month. In October, I will tell you who I am and what I want, and I will perform a miracle for all to see and believe.” Lucia made some requests for sick people, to which Mary replied that she would cure some but not others, and that all must say the Rosary to obtain such graces. She continued: “Sacrifice yourselves for sinners and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice: O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” As she spoke these words, Mary opened her hands and rays of light...seemed to penetrate the earth, revealing to the children a terrifying vision of Hell, full of demons and lost souls amid indescribable horrors. This vision of Hell was the first...of the three-part Secret of Fatima which was unknown until the writing of Sister Lucia’s third memoir, dated August 31, 1941.

The children looked up to the sad face of the Blessed Virgin, who spoke to them kindly: “You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end, but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI [World War Two]. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

These prophecies conclude the second part of the Secret. The third part was not made public until the year 2000 at the beatification ceremonies of Jacinta and Francisco Marto, two of the three Fatima children. Mary specifically told Lucia not to tell anyone about the secret at this stage, apart from Francisco, before continuing: “When you pray the Rosary, say after each Mystery: O my Jesus! Forgive us, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need.

Text courtesy World Apostolate of Fatima, USA, slightly edited.

The apparitions of Our Lady to the children were not their first encounter with Heaven.  An angel appeared to them previously, three times, and gave them two prayers, as follows:

"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee!  I beg pardon of Thee for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee!"

"Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly.  I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He is offended.  By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners."

More About Hiking!

saffinpark2.jpg

Important note: The following advice is for local hiking in well-populated areas only. Please always use your own discretion and consider your own unique needs. These are only suggestions.

My family and I spent the 4th of July in the exquisite New Jersey Highlands, pictured above. Appropriate, since the Highlands, according to the federal Highlands Conservation Act, is an area of “national significance,” due to, “the importance of the water, forest, agricultural, wildlife, recreational, and cultural resources of the Highlands region.” It is a national treasure. Instead of celebrating a nation rapidly descending into tyranny, we spent the day preparing for where this tyranny may soon lead us…out of Babylon and into the Authentic Life, close to nature, apart from the world.

Our son was the architect of the excursion, planning it out in advance from a map. It is always a bit dicey doing a hike you are unfamiliar with, because what you see on the map is only a vague semblance of what you actually encounter on the ground. He knew he would be going with his out-of-shape middle-aged parents, so he kept it to about a mile, which was perfect. I hope to increase my stamina over time. I said in A Tale of Two Realities (please read if you haven’t), that I had not hiked in years. Two hikes and I am now addicted. The peace and wonder I feel, along with the sense of empowerment and accomplishment, is intoxicating.

The hike evenly divided into two halves, the first being the difficult “trail connector” and the second, being an established, level trail. At the half-point, you see the bewitching vista above. The picture does not at all do it justice. It had more a sense of grandeur from the perspective of a bridge, over a large pond (the entire walk circumvented the pond). The creek you see comes down from the pond. The rocks there seem to be encased in sand, long petrified. It is interesting to think of the history of the formations and also the human history, when you encounter unexplained remnants like rock walls, perhaps going back hundreds of years. What the picture does portray is the mysterious, magical nature of those woods-you expect to see a fairy or an elf pop out any minute! It can all be quite romantic, you can easily forget the dangers of these parts, which are black bears, copperhead snakes, lyme and other ticks, poison ivy, falling branches and hunters in hunting season, to name a few. All these issues need to be kept in mind and prepared for.

We started by spraying ourselves with heavy duty bug spray, mainly for the ticks. I had my new mini backpack with water, first aid kit, two tick removal tools, compass, protein bars and tissues. The trail connector was a rocky, narrow path. We had to keep our eyes open for poison ivy and I learned that all boots are not hiking boots. My department store booties have zero ankle support. Real hiking boots are now on my priority list. You hike & learn! We passed a family fishing and learned the pond has bass and catfish. Good to know. Also muskrats and a swim team which has its own camper and porta-potty. Also good to know. Not really, nevermind…another issue one must be prepared for….you do you! Then there was a nice respite area in the shade where we took a much-needed break on this hot day. The rest of the way was easy and we exited at the “start” of the trail, where there were various instructions, including what to do if you see a black bear. At home, first thing: tick check and changing clothes.

We also saw these striking flowers:

BUTTERFLY WEED, a type of milkweed, great for home gardens. EDIBLE & MEDICINAL USES.

BUTTERFLY WEED, a type of milkweed, great for home gardens. EDIBLE & MEDICINAL USES.

And here’s the itchy culprit from the last hike:

This appears to be STINGING NETTLE. It is widely known to have medicinal properties.

This appears to be STINGING NETTLE. It is widely known to have medicinal properties.

I have mentioned the need for provisions and awareness of the dangers of your area. In addition, maps and compasses are important when venturing out into nature. In our case, my son had studied the area, it was well populated and we had our cellphones. I would however, recommend not relying on your phone and always having a hard copy of a map with you (you may consider a laminated map in case of rain). Of course, getting lost is the main issue, but simple awareness of your environment is important too. As for getting lost, never rely on your “great sense of direction” or assume it can’t happen to you. Study the area before entering and have a plan. Know which direction you must travel if you do get lost-that is the purpose of the compass.

Rand McNally has many great resources for hiking and road travel. You might be interested in products like the following:

If hiking is too difficult for you, I hope you are inspired to bring God’s creation more into your life in some way. Nature is part of living life to the fullest and understanding God, the Author of the Authentic Life.

July: Month of the Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious-Blood-Jesus.jpg

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, in satisfaction for my sins, in supplication for the holy souls in Purgatory, for the needs of Holy Church and especially for the soul of (Name). From The Raccolta

Today is the feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the traditional calendar. And it is the first day of the month in which Holy Church gives us the Blood of Christ to meditate upon and honor. His Precious Blood has been poured out upon the whole world. How much more should we pour ourselves out upon Him. All our guilt. All our sorrows. All our confusion. All our doubt. All our worry. Just give it to Him as He gives Himself to us. This is our great consolation.

In addition to this feast of Our Lord, we also have two Marian feasts coming up this month-the Visitation and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We have two Apostles, Saint Mary Magdalen and the parents of Our Lady. We celebrate 3 Doctors of the Church as well.

There are many devotions to the Precious Blood we might acquaint ourselves with. How wonderful it always is to learn new prayers and devotions! How endless are the treasures of our Faith! In addition to the prayer above, here are two other devotions:

Litany of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Chaplet of the Precious Blood

The Catholic Bug-Out Bag?

We’re Catholic preppers here, so why not a Catholic bug-out bag? This is something you should keep in your car or have handy to go at all times, a bag with many of your essentials in the event of an emergency when you are traveling or must leave your home quickly. Basic survival items and first aid should be included. For your Catholic bug-out bag, we will focus on an online store, which is a good resource…

We will look at many items which would do well in your Faith-centered bug-out bag. We know the spiritual life is more important than the physical, so if you’re going to have fire-starters and first aid kits, you should also have those things which support your soul. This is not to necessarily get you to buy from this store, or to buy these specific products. My goal is to get you thinking and give you some ideas. I will choose items I feel are well-priced and that are conducive to travel. These also make great gifts items, stocking stuffers or goody bag gifts for First Holy Communions, etc.

Discount Catholic Store

From their “About” page:

Discount Catholic Store first opened in the year 2000 out of a love for Catholic spirituality. We strive to offer Catholic items that facilitate spiritual growth, healing, comfort, inspiration, wisdom and guidance, and which will ultimately draw each soul closer to God. We hope our products will be “avenues of grace” for everyone who receives them…

One of the main categories of devotional objects one would want in a bug-out bag, would be sacramentals. According to Traditional Catholic Dictionary Online, a sacramental is: “Certain pious practices or objects blessed by the Church. The blessing is attached, that these may serve to increase the devotion of the faithful. Scapulars, holy water, etc., are widely used sacramentals.”

Why would you need sacramentals when “bugging out?” Some can protect from demons, remit venial sin and purgatory time, and grant temporal favors. Our Lady said of the Brown Scapular, to Saint Simon Stock, “WHOSOEVER DIES IN THIS GARMENT SHALL NOT SUFFER ETERNAL FIRE.” (Of course, there are stipulations with such an amazing promise). You should consider having your sacramentals blessed by a priest or deacon, if they have not been blessed. My guess is that they do not have to be blessed to be considered sacramentals, but the blessing increases the spiritual power. Please see Catholic Encyclopedia for more info.

Below are some great Catholic “bug-out” items, many of which are sacramentals:

The Weaknesses of My Bug-Out Bag

bugoutbagfrankie.png

Yes, that is my bug-out bag and my doggie sniffing it! A bug-out bag is simply a bag with supplies, in case of emergency, when you are out or traveling. It should always be kept in your car. If you don’t have one, make one-or you can order them pre-made online. Probably a good way to start is to order one, and then tweak it to your own needs. At least you will have something right away, with minimal time and effort. Mine is bright red, which is good if you want to be seen (lost in the wilderness), but not so good if you don’t want to be seen (running from Governor Cuomo). Probably a camo one is better, and you can always carry a bright-colored poncho or something.

This past week, my father-in-law was ill (prayers?) and we had to go deal with the situation. We unexpectedly had to stay overnight and there were a few difficulties, which reminded me that I need to be better prepared. We had no change of clothes (after a hot, sweaty day), no toiletries, no dog food and I did not have my two medications. We had to get a few things from the store and I just took the meds when we got home. We all make mistakes. But we must learn from them because next time, it might not work out so well. Someone recently said to me that I should have a change of clothes in my car-funny how life gives you these little warnings-but do we heed them? I will be making it a priority to re-vamp my bug-out bag. In addition to the above items, I could also use a pocket Bible, more food and water, painkillers and some cash.

We can expand our ideas about the “bug-out” bag. You can think of your purse as an everyday mini bug-out bag (for guys, what? a fanny pac? LOL). In my purse, I carry a few first-aid items, a pocket knife (which has come in handy so many times), hand sanitizer, tissues, extra keys, paper and pen, rosary beads, “call a priest if I’m dying” card…and my purse isn’t even very large! Then there is the standard emergency bag I spoke of above. In addition to these, you should have an overnight bag that you can grab quickly whenever you need it (or whenever you travel more than an hour away). You may or may not want to keep it in the car, since toiletries and medications can be sensitive to hot and freezing temperatures. But if you can keep medication with you at all times, that is a good thing.

I am not discussing right now, everything that should be in a bug-out bag or generally kept in your car, but there are many resources online for that. Of course, you need to tailor it to your own needs as well. All items should be contained in sealable plastic bags, in case of rain. Keep track of expiration dates on food, water, etc. Understand water may freeze and burst a container. Have a list of all items in the bag, so you can glance at it and see what is there (believe me, you won’t remember, and fishing through everything is a hassle). Have it all well-organized. As for ID, or having your info in it, that is at your discretion. Trackable electronics-also at your discretion. Weight of your bag is also a consideration, if you wind up on foot.

We have all learned a lot in the past few months. We see how access to all the things we have taken for granted can be blocked overnight. We see how we can potentially be quarantined against our will or locked into a certain area at a moment’s notice. We see society breaking down on every level….all the more reason to be prepared, including when you travel anywhere. It is also a good idea to keep your gas tank full. Consider the possibility of other modes of transportation (boat, small plane) or different routes.

Making bug-out bags can be a fun project for the whole family. Mini backpacks are great for kids and they love them. Pick a weekend one of these days and just do it. Then you can have a wonderful little hike and picnic to celebrate your accomplishment! And its all important togetherness time and a prepper learning experience.

Back-to-Back Feasts of the Two Hearts!

Sacred-Heart-Immaculate-Heart.jpg

Today, Friday, is the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus…and tomorrow, Saturday, is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Sacred Heart is both a new and old feast and the Immaculate Heart is new. Holy Church calls us to honor our Two Hearts together at this time. Please note, today is a Solemnity.

What a wonderful weekend in the Church, though we must see everything from now on through the veil of our tears, to interpret it all through the lens of the present chastisement. These Two Great Loves have been forsaken.

“Behold this Heart, which, notwithstanding the burning love for man with which it is consumed and exhausted, meets with no other return from the generality of Christians than sacrilege, contempt, indifference and ingratitude.”

The above words were given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the year 1690, along with the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let us strive to make reparation today and always, to His most loving Heart, for all the offenses against It in our own times, even within the Church. Of course, the internet is rife with devotions to the Sacred Heart-no problem finding ideas! Litanies are so beautiful to pray with your family. Here is the Litany of the Sacred Heart (and also the Litany of the Immaculate Heart).

From The Daily Missal:

“The Feast of the Sacred Heart was established in order that the faithful might honour with more devotion and zeal, under the symbol of the Sacred Heart, the love of Jesus Christ, which induced Him not only to suffer and to die for the redemption of mankind, but also to institute the Sacrament of His Body and Blood in commemoration of His death.”

From the trad Mass:

O God, who in the Heart of Thy Son, wounded by our sins, dost mercifully bestow on us infinite treasures of Love: grant, we beseech Thee, that whilst we render It the devout homage of our affection, we may also fulfill our duty of worthy satisfaction.

Alleluia, alleluia. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, because I am meek and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. Alleluia.

Come to me, all you that labour and are burdened, and I will refresh you. Alleluia.

As a member of the World Apostolate of Fatima (otherwise known as the Blue Army), one is to recite the following prayer every morning, which invokes the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

Fatima Morning Offering

O my God in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Jesus from all the altars throughout the world, joining with It the offering of my every thought, word and action of this day. O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them together with myself, to Mary Immaculate, that she may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart. Precious Blood of Jesus, save us! Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us! Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

The Five First Saturdays are a devotion given to us by Our Lady of Fatima, for reparation to her Immaculate Heart. Please see First Saturdays At Home-Never More Important! Please also consider performing our June Fatima Family Holy Hour for the Church today (scroll down). Contact us above to let us know how your family enjoyed it!

If you are from FishEaters Forum, the canon lawyer agreed with me about my prayers being fine to publish on this blog and also the issue regarding private/public prayer-contact me for her response and please consider defending me from the harassment I received-my sincere thanks.

Fatima Family Holy Hour, SATURDAY Feast of the Immaculate Heart

Unfortunately, my husband was gone all day on Saturday, so we did not get to do the Fatima Family Holy Hour. I have chosen this coming Saturday to perform it, since it is the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is also the Summer solstice, which is a very occult day, particularly this year, according to my research. Let us make reparation for all the occult practices done on this day. So what a great day to do the Fatima Family Holy Hour for the Church! Please contact us (above) if you decide to join us and let us know how it went for you, or you can choose another day in June.

Let’s be filled with positive energy and rise above all the negative in the world!

Have a grate day~as in grateful!

Image is from a former garden of mine-I love the giant sunflowers! They attract bees and are easy to grow. It is amazing how they follow the sun throughout the day and they even look like the sun. God is wonderful! So much fun for kids too.

Candle-Lighting for Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

(please light a candle next to a picture or statue of Our Lady)

+   Sign of the Cross   +

O Jesus, we thank Thee for this beautiful Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, which celebrates her appearance to the three holy children in Fatima, Portugal and all the miracles and wonders which took place there.  We thank Thee for our togetherness today all over the world honoring this joyful feast, though it is at a sorrowful time for Thy Holy Church and the whole world.  We light this candle for the intention of reparation to Thy Mother's Immaculate Heart, which so grieves over the sins of the world at this present hour. We beg Thee for a return of the normally celebrated Holy Mass, all the sacraments and the full functioning of the Catholic Church. Forgive us for the disrespect given to the Holy Eucharist. We offer as well, all the intentions of those participating.  Amen.

Fatima Reading & Prayer

The Second Apparition ~ June 13th, 1917

About fifty people arrived at the Cova da Iria on June 13th, as the three children assembled near the Holm oak tree where the Lady had appeared. The children then saw a flash of light followed immediately by the apparition of Mary as she spoke to Lucia: “I want you to come on the 13th of next month, to pray the Rosary every day and to learn to read. Later, I will tell you what I want.”

Lucia asked Mary to take them to Heaven and was reassured in this way: “I will take Jacinta and Francisco shortly, but you will stay here for some time to come. Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart throughout the world. I promise salvation to whoever embraces it. These souls will be dear to God, like flowers put by me to adorn His Throne.”  ...Lucia was sad at the first part of this reply and asked: “Am I to stay here alone?” Mary replied: “No, my daughter. Are you suffering a great deal? Don’t lose heart. I will never forsake you. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.”

One of the witnesses to this apparition, Maria Carreira, described how Lucia then cried out and pointed as Mary departed. She herself heard a noise like “a rocket a long way off,” and looked to see a small cloud a few inches over the tree, rise and move slowly towards the east until it disappeared. The crowd of pilgrims…reported the amazing things they had seen, thus ensuring that there were between two and three thousand people present for the July apparition!

Litany of Our Lady of Fatima

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for our dear country.
Our Lady of Fatima, sanctify our clergy.
Our Lady of Fatima, make our Catholics more fervent.

Our Lady of Fatima, cure the sick who confide in you.
Our Lady of Fatima, console the sorrowful who trust in you.
Our Lady of Fatima, help those who invoke your aid.
Our Lady of Fatima, deliver us from all dangers.
Our Lady of Fatima, help us to resist temptation.
Our Lady of Fatima, obtain for us all that we lovingly ask of you.
Our Lady of Fatima, help those who are dear to us.
Our Lady of Fatima, bring back to the right road our erring brothers.
Our Lady of Fatima, give us back our ancient fervor.
Our Lady of Fatima, obtain for us pardon of our manifold sins and offenses.
Our Lady of Fatima, bring all men to the feet of your Divine Child.
Our Lady of Fatima, obtain peace for the world.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Let Us Pray: O God of infinite goodness and mercy, fill our hearts with a great confidence in Thy dear Mother, whom we invoke under the title of Our Lady of the Rosary and our Lady of Fatima, and grant us by her powerful intercession, all the graces, spiritual and temporal, which we need.  Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Final Prayer

O Most Holy Trinity, look upon the work of Thy Hands with mercy and give us the peace we so desperately need.  Shower Thy graces upon us like the rain, like a great flood engulfing us and end these many sorrows.  We live in unprecedented times, uncertain times.  Deliver us from all evil, visible and invisible and from all fear.  Help us to prepare for the days to come and to extricate ourselves from this inauthentic culture.  We pray for the triumphalism of Holy Mother Church and the salvation of all souls.  Give us peace in our hearts and courage to face the future and win our Heavenly reward.  Our Lady of Fatima, we love you!  Pray for us!  In the Holy Name of Christ, Nomen Christi.  Amen.

Hymn:  "Hail Holy Queen Enthroned Above"

Hail, holy Queen enthroned above, O Maria.
Hail, Queen of mercy and of love, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye Cherubim,
Sing with us, ye Seraphim,
Heav'n and earth resound the hymn,
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

The cause of joy to all below, O Maria.
The spring through which all graces flow, O Maria.
Angels, all your praises bring,
Earth and heaven, with us sing,
All creation echoing,
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

O gentle, loving, holy one, O Maria.
The God of light became your Son, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye Cherubim,
Sing with us, ye Seraphim.
Heav'n and earth resound the hymn,
Salve, Salve, Salve, Regina.

Image is a picture of my statue with the candle in my dining room. My mother bought this statue in memory of my father, when he passed away from a heart attack, when I was 7 years old. It had a memorial plaque at the bottom, which fell off and was lost. My father was not religious, but loved the Fatima story. I remember praying around this statue during Hurricane Bell on Long Island, which was about 1976. It is probably my most precious possession.

Feast of Corpus Christi

HOLY+EUCHARIST+51.jpg

Indulgenced prayers praising the greatest of all sacraments:

May our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament be praised, adored and loved, with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time!

O Sacrament most holy! O Sacraments divine! All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine!

From the traditional Mass:

O God who under a wonderful Sacrament hast left us a memorial of Thy Passion: grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood that we may ever feel within us the fruit of Thy Redemption.

Alleluia, alleluia. My Flesh is meat indeed and My Blood is drink indeed: he that eateth My Flesh and drinketh My Blood, abideth in Me, and I in him.

From the Litany of Reparation to Our Lord in the Eucharist:

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who dost deign to remain with us in Thy wonderful Sacrament to the end of the world, in order to give to Thy Father, by the memory of Thy Passion, eternal glory, and to give to us the Bread of Life Everlasting, grant us the grace to mourn, with a heart full of sorrow, over the injuries which Thou hast received in this adorable Mystery, and over the many sacrileges which are committed by the impious, by heretics and by bad Catholics.

Inflame us with an ardent zeal to repair all these insults to which, in Thine infinite mercy, Thou hast preferred to expose Thyself rather than deprive us of Thy Presence on our altars, Who with God the Father and the Holy Spirit livest and reignest one God, world without end. Amen.

How can we celebrate this feast today? Aside from watching or attending Mass, let us pray the litany above for reparation, since many have said sacrilege against this sacrament is one reason why we are experiencing this chastisement. Also, the Sequence in the Mass is quite beautiful. Many blessings to all on this glorious feast!

Corpus Christi Thursday / Fatima Holy Hour Saturday

The wonderful trad feast of Corpus Christi is tomorrow and the new similar feast of The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ, is this Sunday. This is joyful time for those who will now be able to receive the Holy Eucharist, but sorrowful for those who cannot. We officially cannot on Long Island. But I have been receiving from a very holy priest. I believe on faith, that I will not get ill or make anyone else ill due to my desire to receive (Jesus said, "If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do”). I wear my Brown Scapular (as Our Lady of Fatima requested) and also use bottled holy water. Anyway, I don’t care if I get sick. I would most likely not die and even if I do, so what? I’ve been to confession. I will not live in fear! Our Lord said, “Ask and you shall receive.” You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Please see our post tomorrow on Corpus Christi.

The June “Fatima Family Holy Hour for the Church” is this Saturday. If you recall, we are doing this every 13th of the month, through October. There will be a printable PDF for you and your family. It is a simple program to do at home. Please come back Saturday for your print-out! Quite frankly, I have put a lot of work into this-I did the same thing on the Fatima 100th Anniversary-and have gotten a disappointing response. If you could just email one other person about this, that would be great-you can be part of the team! If you do participate, please contact us (above) and let us know. Your comments may be shared.
