Due to personal circumstances, this blog is suspended until mid-January.

You can still do the Fatima Holy Hours with your family or church group.  The Jubilee Year of Fatima declared by Pope Francis extends until November 26th.  Its also a great time to start the 5 Saturdays Devotion, requested by Our Lady of Fatima, if you have not been doing that.

If you have been enjoying my first of the month series, why not purchase your own Catholic calendar and begin studying the feasts, the liturgical character of each month, and decide how you and your family can grow spiritually each month.  I have said this before:  It is not my intention to dictate to people, but rather to empower them to use their own creativity at this confusing hour in Church and human history.

Let us also pray for those killed and injured yesterday in New York City and their families.  That is my city, and has been my whole life.  I cry with them.  Don't care what people say about New York.  It's an awesome place and there is much faith there.

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ!

Let me know if you would like an email reminder that we have resumed posting:  director@nomenchristi.org .  Happy All Saints Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year to all!  See you next year!  CM:)  PS  And thank you for reading!
